Austin ranked #2 city by Forbes for Real Estate Investing
Forbes recently identified the top CRE markets in the country with the highest potential for investment. According to their findings some of the main commonalities in all the top markets were "job growth and a corresponding concern with affordability."
Unsurprisingly, Austin was near the top of the list coming in at number two. Jeff Levin, a real estate investor and founder of Specialty Lending Group, found "...lower taxes, affordability and tech jobs..." were key factors in the success of CRE in Austin and would continue to fuel Austin's growth for the foreseeable future.
"Economists expect Austin to lead the nation in job growth in 2020. Correspondingly, the city is also likely to add the most people over the next five years..."
Apple's expansion in Austin is expected to bring on 5,000 employees initially, and up to 15,000 over the next couple years with the development of its $1 billion campus in North Austin opening in 2022.
